This is a twelve month, tenure track position consisting of a 50% research appointment and a 50% Extension appointment. The research appointment may include facilities management responsibilities. The incumbent is expected to collaborate with other faculty in the Division of Agriculture, Forestry, and Veterinary Medicine (DAFVM) as appropriate, to develop an effective multidisciplinary research and Extension program that has a meaningful impact on beef cattle producers in Mississippi and the Southeastern U.S. Numerous collaborative research opportunities exist with scientists at other MAFES research locations throughout the state. The academic home for this position will reside in the Department of Animal & Dairy Science.
Software Developer	Main Campus - Starkville, MS
The position of a Software Developer will be under the specific direction by Dr. Vuk Marojevic, Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The main duties of the individual are to design, coordinate, and maintain a 5G open-source software project that will be used to conduct 5G security research, development, and testing on software radio platforms. The chosen candidate will actively participate in the design, development, and maintenance of an open-source software-defined 5G research platform.
Senior Design/Planning Professional	MS Gulf Coast/New Orleans
This position supports the mission of the Gulf Coast Community Design Studio including the initiation and management of community-engaged design and planning related projects. This position serves as mentor to interns and emerging professionals seeking licensure.
Technical Writer	Main Campus - Starkville, MS
The individual filling this position will function at the professional research level and will collaborate with researchers involved in design and implementation of ASME NQA-1 qualified test systems for nuclear-grade HEPA filter research. The individual will be responsible for creating, editing, revising, and coordinating major proposals, white papers, technical reports, and other written deliverables associated with ICET’s research efforts. The individual will review and edit material for proper use of terminology, style, directions, content, grammar, dictation, punctuation, and clarity, Additionally, this individual may be responsible for collecting, researching, and analyzing available data and literature for inclusion in research related documents, and assisting faculty and staff with submission to scientific journals or other outlets. This position also creates, edits, revises, tailors, coordinates, and publishes ICET’s web content.
Postdoctoral Associate	Main Campus - Starkville, MS
Post-Doctoral Research Associates at the Institute for Clean Energy Technology (ICET) hold full-time non-tenure track positions to assist in the conduct of research and development of task relating to an externally funded program. The Post-Doctoral Research Associate, an externally-funded professional, reports to a project investigator. These positions are contingent on the availability of funding.
