Position Summary:

The Temporary Box Office Manager and Marketing Coordinator is providing full-time support to the Annie Russell Theatre and Rollins Box Office.

Anticipated Employment Dates: September 30, 2019 - December 13, 2019

Schedule: Standard hours are 8:30am to 5pm, with one hour for lunch. During show and event weeks, the schedule becomes flexible to account for the evening and weekend commitments.

Primary Responsibilities:

A. Manage Box Office operations for the Annie Russell Theatre, Winter Park Institute, and Christmas Vespers

  • Oversee ticket sales using Patron Manager platform.
  • Supervise a team of eight student employees in the Rollins Box Office, ensuring excellent service is provided to community and campus patrons.
  • Deposit revenue into appropriate accounts.
  • Manage ticketing on-site at the following events:
    • Annie Russell Theatre
      • The Humans (shadow current employee at 3 of the following 5 performances
        • Wednesday, October 2 (8p performance)
        • Thursday, October 3 (8p performance)
        • Friday, October 4 (8p performance)
        • Saturday, October 5 (2p and 8p performance)
      • Private Lies: Improvised Film Noir
        • Thursday, November 14 (8p preview performance)
        • Friday, November 15 (8p opening night performance)
        • Saturday, November 16 (8p performance)
        • Sunday, November 17 (4p performance)
        • Wednesday, November 20 (8p performance)
        • Thursday, November 21 (8p performance)
        • Friday, November 22 (8p performance)
        • Saturday, November 23 (2p and 8p performance)
    • Winter Park Institute
      • Jose Antonio Vargas
        • Thursday, October 17 (7p speaker)
      • Annika Sorenstam
        • Monday, November 18 (7p speaker)

B. Execute marketing and public relations activities for the Annie Russell Theatre (with a focus on the November production of Private Lies). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating promotional photoshoot.
  • Publishing a regular e-newsletter and campus-wide email communications.
  • Managing social media pages and advertising campaigns.
  • Placing print ads.
  • Distributing posters and postcards.
  • Publishing a press release and communicating with local media outlets.
  • Creating the playbill to be distributed at the production.
  • Coordinating the opening night reception on Friday, November 15, 2019.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • At least two years of arts administration experience; familiarity with theatre and/or event management.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service.
  • Familiarity with an event ticketing platform (Patron Manager preferred).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs.

The pay rate is $18.00/hr.

This is a temporary position working less than 1,000 hours/year. There are no benefits associated with this position.
