Position Summary:

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Rollins College invites applications for the position of tenure-track Assistant Professor, Statistics, beginning August 2020. Candidates should hold a PhD in Statistics or a PhD in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics with a strong focus on Statistics by August 2020.

We are interested in candidates who have a passion for teaching statistics, from introductory-level courses through advanced-level courses, as well as other courses in the curriculum. Candidates should be willing and able to explore the interdisciplinary nature of Statistics in the liberal arts curriculum. There will be opportunities to design new courses both within and outside the major. The teaching load for this tenure-track position is five courses for the first year and six per year thereafter.

Successful candidate will be expected to engage in high quality research that contributes to departmental and college-wide scholarship activities. We value applied, theoretical, and interdisciplinary research equally.
