Position Summary:

The Cornell Fine Arts Museum is seeking a Virtual Programs Coordinator to assist the museum team with existing programs and help craft a strategy to expand and diversify CFAM’s virtual platform. Current programs include livestreamed and recorded lectures, exhibitions tours, panel discussions and short videos for social media. The Coordinator will be responsible for the creation and implementation of these programs and other online content using existing museum equipment. The position will also provide program support including scheduling and planning for all events and will ensure the smooth technical functioning, documentation and integrity of the programming.

The Cornell Fine Arts Museum at Rollins College features rotating exhibitions, ongoing programs, and an extensive permanent collection that spans centuries, from examples of ancient art and artifacts to contemporary art. Open to the public year-round, its holdings include the only European Old Master paintings in the Orlando area, a sizeable American art collection, and a forward-thinking contemporary collection on view both at the Museum and The Alfond Inn at Rollins. In 1981, the Museum became Florida’s first college museum to be accredited by the American Association of Museums (currently the American Alliance of Museums) and continues in 2020 as one of only four AAM-accredited museums in greater Orlando.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree and/or one to two years of relevant work experience in digital media perferred. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape and various social media platforms.
  • Proficiency with technology that supports virtual programs, audio/video recording and editing, and sound and video engineering for online programs.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative cloud programs.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team, complete tasks on time, superior attention to detail required, ability to multi-task and adjust on the fly, respond to technical glitches, etc.
  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
Additional Position Information:


This is a temporary position with a competitive hourly pay rate and there are no benefits affiliated with this role. The Virtual Programs Coordinator will work up to 20 hours per week. Please note, the schedule is not fixed and will be based on events and operational need.

  • Front-facing customer service role on-campus (inside and outside).
  • Work requires some visual strain as well as physical activity involving bending, stooping, stretching, standing and walking.
  • Changes in schedule will be necessary due to operational needs.
