The opportunity:
We’re looking for a passionate Development Manager to join our Queensland Development Team. Reporting to the Development Director, you’ll work closely with a supportive team and key stakeholders to bring projects to life—ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage projects from inception to completion, overseeing financial performance, design, approvals, and construction, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and promoting a customer-first culture.
What You’ll Do:
- Project Planning & Financial Management – Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring alignment with cost and timeline objectives.
- Design & Development Management – Oversee the design process to deliver market-responsive, cost-effective, and sustainable project outcomes, ensuring compliance with project briefs and safety standards.
- Approvals & Legal Compliance – Manage planning and development approvals, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements while overseeing legal agreements and contract negotiations.
- Construction Oversight & Quality Control – Collaborate with the construction team to ensure timely project delivery, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and budget control.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement – Foster a customer-first approach by overseeing purchaser variations, settlements, and communication, while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Sales & Marketing Collaboration – Support the execution of sales and marketing strategies, ensuring alignment between product offerings, market expectations, and promotional materials.
- Team & Stakeholder Collaboration – Cultivate productive relationships with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and local authorities to facilitate seamless project execution.
What You’ll Bring
Tertiary qualifications in Property Economics, Commerce, Business Management, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar development management role.
- Strong financial and budget management experience within residential or mixed-use developments.
- Expertise in design coordination, stakeholder engagement, and project approvals.
- A strategic mindset with problem-solving abilities and commercial acumen.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive culture.
