Our global tax team in the EU currently consists of 4 tax professionals and is currently seeking an Assistant Tax Accountant to join the team at our corporate head office in Amsterdam.

About the job

The Assistant Tax Accountant will report to the Tax Director Europe and will closely work together with the Tax Team. The Assistant Tax Accountant:

  • Incorporates, executes, and improves timely and accurate tax accounting positions for European companies;
  • Provides for detailed insight in actual and deferred CIT tax positions;
  • Is able to convert transactional details to clear tax accounting positions;
  • Is involved in annual reporting and the preparation of tax consolidations;
  • Supports on statutory, internal, and external tax audits;
  • Contributes to improve the current tax control framework;

It is anticipated that the Assistant Tax Accountant will also be involved in tax compliance activities for the Dutch entities of the group.

Desired Skills and Experience

As the ideal applicant you will possess:

  • Qualification in tax (law/economics)
  • Big-4 trained (some years of inhouse experience is an asset)
  • International tax background
  • CIT expert
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both verbal and written, and German language skills are an asset
  • Ability to quickly analyse data, draw conclusions and make recommendations
  • Team player that is able to challenge other team members
  • Hands-on, pro-active, and dedicated
  • Overall experience 5-7 years
