Our Industrial line of business are currently seeking a Property Accountant to join the team based in our Rhodes office. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Property Accountant will be responsible for financial accounting and reporting to support the Property Managers of our Industrial portfolios.

As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:

  • Month-End tasks including accruing/pre-paying statutory expenses, utility charges and property management fees
  • Capitalising and amortising rent-free/reduction incentives, and monthly checks of expenses recovery and general financial information
  • Raising and amending tenant charges including annual outgoings wash-ups
  • Managing uploads of tenant insurances and bank guarantees (and monitoring of insurance expirations)
  • Assisting the Property Managers in maintaining tenancy schedules, and reviewing the monthly rent rolls for invoicing tenants
  • Raising contract Purchase Orders, reviewing open and aged PO’s
  • Tracking utility invoice payments
  • Preparing annual property budgets, balance sheet reconciliations, trading margin variance reports, and other Corporate reporting requirements
  • Reviewing capex registers, making revaluation adjustments, maintaining incentive logs and property management fees
  • Assisting internal and external auditors

As the ideal applicant you will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting
  • CPA, CA or equivalent qualifications, or working towards
  • Demonstrated experience in an accounting or finance role within a corporate environment
  • Strong skills in SAP (preferably) and Excel
  • Adept at explaining detailed financial information to non-accounting professionals
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to manage conflicting priorities
