Our Asset Management line of business are currently seeking an experienced Capital Works Manager to join the team based in our Rhodes office. Reporting to the National Operations and Projects Manager, the National Capital Works Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery of Capex projects on time and on budget for industrial, logistics and commercial developments across NSW.

As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:

  • Prepare proposals for project approval
  • Assist the Operations Manager in the Scoping, Tendering, Evaluation, Programming and Delivery of capital works
  • Coordinate the prequalification of Contractors and establish new vendors on FPI systems and develop a preferred contractor base
  • Coordinate with FPI Legal contract negotiation and execution prior to project works commencement
  • Manage all multi-site Capex programs over $500K through inception, delivery, and completion
  • Monitor programs and compliance at project, state owner, and business level
  • Report on Financial and Program status
  • Manage Capex record keeping ensuring Audit Readiness
  • Establish, develop and update a generic scope/standards database, lessons-learned register, and Capex procedures
  • Develop training presentations for the broader FPI team on process and effective Capex delivery

As the ideal applicant you will possess:

  • Diploma of Project Management, or equivalent experience
  • Cert IV in Procurement, or equivalent experience
  • Technical qualifications in Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • Experience in management of multi-disciplinary, multi-site Capex works in the property development industry, preferably in the industrial sector
  • Experience with a large property developer or agency
  • Competency in Microsoft 365. Experience in SAP, Sharepoint and project management tools are preferable
  • Strong skills in communication, stakeholder management, and team management
