  1. About the job

We are looking for a passionate SSC Associate in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In this role you will be jointly responsible for providing comprehensive support in various financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payments and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintaining service level excellence to the business.

As an SSC Associate your responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare complete & accurate monthly AR reconciliations, with an emphasis on taking preventive measures, so that receivables from Tenants are collected on time.
  • Upkeep relevant SOPs, manuals and cheat sheets in line with process and structural changes to AR operations.
  • Provide necessary support to organize weekly payment runs, through processing EFT vendor and manual payments.
  • Monitor AP Aging and follow up to solve the outstanding AP aging > 60 days
  • Provide support to the business in setting up new vendors in the database and ensure proper controls are met.
  • Ensure weekly payment runs are performed accurately, on time (within “cut-off”) and in adherence to established authorization policies.
  • Execute IFMs and MPRFs accurately and on time per the instructions in the documents.
  • Monitor weekly AP-in-transit balances and rectify any unmatched positions.
  • Ensure master data regarding bank accounts and AP-in-transit settings are correct, on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of cut-offs and accruals while working closely with other departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of all prepayments and accrued expenses.
  • Ensure all 3rd party invoicing in relation to rents, recharges and service charge settlements are prepared to a high-level and in a timely manner as per the “invoicing cycle” and terms established in the tenant agreements
  • Work closely with and/or support the Portfolio Management department, the AP team, the treasury department, Management Accounting Department, the SSC team, Business Process team and other Finance departments

 

  1. Desired Skills and Experience

As the ideal applicant you are/possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting/business administration
  • Excellent command of English both verbal and written is a must. Dutch and/or German is a bonus.
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g. Marcos, pivot tables)
  • Knowledge of real estate accounting systems. Yardi experience a bonus.
  • IT literate, ideally having worked with a large ERP system previously (Yardi, Oracle, Sage, SAP).
  • Knowledge of Audit requirements within Corporate companies
  • Strong communication skills with experience in handling queries.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to strict deadlines.
  • At least 5+ years of experience working within a large SSC department sector (AP/AR/Intercompany) at Corporate companies (experience in Real Estate sector is an advantage)
