Position Summary
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1) maintaining inventory and ordering laboratory supplies, as well as addressing laboratory compliance related issues, 2) maintenance of mousecolony, 3) conducting research experiments under the direction of Dr. Castillo-Ruiz which willinclude behavioral procedures as well as histological and molecular biology procedures and dataanalysis, 4) assisting with the training of undergraduate students in laboratory procedures, and 5)participating actively in lab meetings.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in neuroscience or other related field; up to six months of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in basic research techniques in neuroscience or related field; word processing, spreadsheet; database and/or desktop publishing software; presentation software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least one year of experience with neuroscience and/or behavioral research in rodents.
