Renaissance Program Manager
Position Summary
The Renaissance Program Manager at the Apple Developer Academy with MSU in Detroit serves as the primary advisor and operational leader for a cohort of approximately 50 second-year learners, providing mentorship and guidance to support career readiness and professional development. This role is responsible for monitoring individual and team progress, ensuring learners access relevant programmatic resources and opportunities. In collaboration with Academy leadership, the Program Manager leads recruitment efforts for Post Academy programs, identifies high-potential learners, and contributes to the design and implementation of program goals. The position also involves building strategic partnerships with industry and community stakeholders and managing learner data to track and support program outcomes.

Job duties:
- Mentor and Support Learners: Serve as the primary advisor for 50–60 Renaissance learners, providing individualized guidance to ensure academic progress, program completion, and career development.
- Monitor and Evaluate Progress: Track learner and team progress, assess achievement of learning objectives, and intervene as needed to support learner success.
- Provide Access to Resources: Ensure learners have access to relevant academic, career, and wellness resources to support their holistic development.
- Lead Recruitment and Talent Identification: Collaborate with Academy leadership to develop and implement recruitment strategies and identify promising learners from the first-year Academy program.
- Develop Industry and Community Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with industry and community stakeholders to support future collaborations and opportunities for learners.
- Manage Program Data and Reporting: Collect, maintain, and analyze learner data to inform leadership decisions and contribute to continuous improvement of the program.

Minimum Requirements
Key Qualifications
- Design: Knowledge of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (U)I principles
- iOS Ecosystem: Familiarity with Apple Operating Systems (iOS) Human Interface Guidelines
- Formal design experience: Demonstrated job experience or training in a design-related field (e.g., higher education courses, training, certifications, online courses, etc.)
- 3-5 years of experience with any combination of work experience, education/training.
- Demonstrated personal or professional commitment or experience engaging with diverse groups of people.

- Knowledge of UX theories and processes
- Knowledge of user research, empathy and understanding, personas, user stories, prototyping, wireframing, etc.
- Knowledge of design principles (e.g., typography, color palettes, etc.)
- Knowledge of accessibility principles
- Experience with brand identity, logo design, or marketing materials among diverse markets.
- Experience with Design Thinking frameworks
- Interest in new pedagogical models (e.g., Challenge Based Learning or experiential learning models)
- Interest in experimenting with new classroom practices
- Interest in empowering a diverse range of students to reach their potential
Other Qualifications
- 4-6 years professional working experience
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a dynamic, diverse team-based setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability
