Visiting Assistant Professor - Jazz Saxophone

Position Summary

Teach jazz saxophone lessons and studio class to undergraduate and graduate students; supervise students in the MA in the Jazz Studies program; perform in the faculty jazz ensemble (Michigan State University Professors of Jazz); teach Improvisation; conduct Jazz Octet; guide students in professional activities.

Minimum Requirements

Proven successful teaching skills at the university and/or professional level; performance experience at the professional level; master’s degree and/or equivalent professional experience.
