Position Summary
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking a Research Associate (Postdoc) to contribute to an innovative project focusing on the development and commercialization of a smartphone-based acoustic diagnostic system for agricultural equipment. This role involves advancing technical capabilities, conducting customer discovery, and refining the commercialization strategy for predictive maintenance solutions.

Required Degree
Doctorate -Computer Science or related field
Minimum Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in acoustic signal processing and characterization.
- Experience in machine learning model development for challenging environments, such as low signal-to-noise ratios.
- Experience with customer discovery processes and stakeholder engagement.
- Background in commercialization and business model development.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing diagnostic frameworks for industrial or safety-critical applications.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance or condition monitoring systems.
- Strong technical writing skills for report preparation and communication with non-technical audiences.
