Fraternity & Sorority Life Coordinator

Position Summary

The Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) Coordinator will serve as the primary advisor to the Panhellenic Council (PC), providing guidance and support to council leadership and support the planning and implementation of council-led events and programs; facilitate leadership development and operational success for PC chapters through regular meetings, workshops, and strategic planning sessions; develop and implement academic programming to promote student success and engagement within the FSL community; oversee the planning and execution of major events, including the Greek Gala and Building Bridges; manage social media accounts and marketing initiatives to enhance the visibility of the FSL community; publicize key events, updates, and achievements across multiple platforms to engage current and prospective members;  oversee roster management processes for all chapters, ensuring accurate and timely updates; maintain effective communication with chapter advisors, national organizations, and other stakeholders regarding membership changes and reporting; work in partnership with other FSL staff to ensure consistency and alignment of support and resources across all councils; maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including alumni, inter/national organizations, and campus partners; serve on university committees and task forces as assigned to advocate for and represent the needs of the fraternity and sorority community; develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate programming effectiveness and student learning outcomes for health and safety initiatives and council activities; maintain accurate records of council events, membership, and programming outcomes; other duties as assigned by the Associate Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four year college degree program in Social Science, Education, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive experience working with college students in student leadership development particularly in fraternity and sorority life; experience with health and safety programming or similar initiatives; demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and foster an inclusive environment; and experience with word processing, database, desktop publishing, web page design and maintenance software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, College Student Personnel, or a related field; affiliation with a fraternity/sorority, in particular a National Pan-Hellenic Council or Multicultural Greek Council organization; proficiency in assessment methods and data-driven decision-making.

Work Hours

Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends to support events and programming. Possibility of one day per week of remote work.
