Health Promotion Coordinator
Position Summary
The Educational Program Coordinator/Health Promotion Coordinator will provide individual and group wellness coaching to students, leads health promotion and wellness messaging efforts through social media and campus communications, and collaborate on the development and execution of wellness programs and events for students, faculty, and staff across multiple campuses.
This position will be responsible for providing individual and group wellness counseling to support COM students in supporting and guiding students in making positive lifestyle changes to improve their overall health and well-being. Will engage students in setting goals, developing strategies, and supporting their progress through personalized and holistic coaching support. Leads health promotion and wellness messaging efforts, including creating engaging content, visuals, and digital campaigns for social media and campus-specific communication platforms. Develops and facilitates interactive workshops, presentations, and programs on wellness topics including goal setting, stress management, motivation, self-care, and other topics as identified to support student's overall wellness and academic success. Collaborates with college partners, student organizations, faculty, and staff to integrate wellness initiatives into the student experience. Create and executes wellness programing for faculty and staff. Assesses the effectiveness of wellness programming and messaging strategies, utilizing feedback and analytics to refine outreach efforts. Represents the Wellness & Counseling team at campus events, orientations, and wellness fairs.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a bachelor's degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Health Promotion, or a related field. Desired Qualifications
Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in individual or group coaching, health promotion, or student wellness initiatives.
Certification or ability to gain certification as a Wellness Coach within 3-6 months of hire.
Experience developing and implementing wellness programming and outreach efforts.
Proficiency in social media content creation, marketing, and digital communication strategies. Ability to develop engaging wellness materials, including graphic design or video content.
Experience with EBS and purchasing. Position may require evening and weekend work hours. Survey and basic research knowledge. Creation of data driven initiatives and programming.
