Position Summary
The IMPART Alliance team seeks a Communications Coordinator to support the IMPART Alliance Communication teams and PI in developing and overseeing a communication plan to maximize the impact of a statewide direct care training and credentialing infrastructure (TCI) project. The coordinator assists with internal and external communication strategies, including publications, social media management, press releases, website content, and newsletters. The role also involves monitoring legislative actions related to direct care workers and liaising with public officials. In collaboration with the marketing specialist, the coordinator will help develop and distribute public awareness and recruitment materials. The coordinator will produce multimedia content under tight deadlines, including news video and photography. Responsibilities include managing video/photo equipment, editing content, ensuring high-quality standards, and providing quality control. The role involves consulting with media managers to create story ideas and providing training on multimedia production to staff and interns.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Communications, Advertising, Telecommunications, Journalism, Marketing, or Public Relations; up to six months of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in internal communications; news, broadcasting, and print media, and/or marketing, advertising, and creative services; graphic design; word processing; desktop publishing; web design; presentation software; spreadsheet and/or database software; public presentation; or radio production; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
May require valid vehicle operator's license where needed to perform duties of the position. This position requires or will require prior to the completion of the probationary period,
knowledge of basic personal computer terminology and operations, and the ability to use e-mail and the Internet.
