Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

• Find, pitch, and produce environmental news stories relevant to Michigan.
• Conduct interviews and develop compelling narratives.
• Write and edit content for broadcast and digital publication.
• Refine reporting skills.
• Ensure accuracy, fairness, and adherence to ethical journalism practices. 

Desired Qualifications

• Strong writing, research, and interviewing skills.
• Interest in environmental issues and public affairs reporting.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. 
• Experience with audio production and digital storytelling is preferred.
