Position Summary

As a key member of the Data Architecture & Integration team, this role will be responsible for strategically designing, developing, and implementing a data integration hub to facilitate seamless data exchange across various systems. This role involves creating dimensional data models for enterprise-level reporting systems at multiple layers, including conceptual, logical, business area, and reporting application.

This role will lead a team of professionals, providing supervision, coaching, and mentorship. They will participate in unit administration, including planning, budgeting, policy development, and resource management. The role requires expertise in data warehousing, business intelligence, ETL processes, and data integration methodologies to ensure data accuracy, quality, and integrity.

Additionally, this role will manage and support all project-related activities, from architecture and design to development and deployment, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time. This position is pivotal in driving strategic initiatives that enhance data governance and utilization across the organization.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program; five to eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work an information technology area related to data architecture; experience in an enterprise-level ETL or ETL platform, such as Informatica DIH, Power Center, IBM Datastage, Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) etc.; experience working with complex, relational and dimensional databases; supervisory experience;  or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in IT related to data integrations and architecture.
  • 5+ years with enterprise-level ETL platforms (e.g., Informatica DIH, Power Center).
  • 7+ years with complex relational and dimensional databases.
  • 5+ years with Oracle SOA suite.
  • 4+ years with data warehousing techniques (Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas).
  • Knowledge of data warehouse design principles and dimensional data modeling.
  • Proficient in PL/SQL for Oracle databases.
  • Experience in performance tuning, database monitoring, and capacity planning.
  • Unix (AIX) shell scripting experience.
  • Experience in data migration projects and database administration.
  • Performance optimization for relational and dimensional models.
  • Managing metadata and supporting data governance initiatives.
  • Self-motivated, independent worker with effective communication skills.
  • Familiarity with IBM Cognos Framework Manager, SPSS, and UC4 process flow.
  • Knowledge and experience in a fundraising setting.
  • Experience with multi-terabyte environments and data archiving/purging best practices.
