Position Summary
The Li lab in the Department of Plant Biology is recruiting a postdoctoral research associate to work on project(s) in plant molecular biology, biochemistry, and/or genomics. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in molecular cloning. Prior experiences in microscopy, bioinformatics, single cell omics techniques, plant tissue culture, and GC/LC-MS are highly desirable.
The employee will participate as a professional expert on research teams and will act as a key resource to other lab members and collaborators. This position will also involve assisting with writing manuscripts. For inquiries, contact Dr. Chenxin Li (lichen27@msu.edu).

Minimum Requirements

Ph.D. in plant biology or a related field

Minimum three years of experience in molecular cloning

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Willingness to develop skills in bioinformatics and/or biochemistry
Desired Qualifications
Depending on the project(s), one or more of the following expertise is preferred.
1) Expertise in confocal microscopy.
2) Expertise in LC-MS.
3) Expertise in single cell omics techniques.
4) Expertise in bioinformatics and genomics using a computing cluster.
5) Expertise in plant tissue culture and plant transformation.
