Unit Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Technical Aide to support the development and implementation of ECG waveform analysis tools in veterinary species (dogs and cats). This role will provide critical assistance in processing high-resolution electrocardiographic recordings for both clinical and research applications, with emphasis on arrhythmia detection, waveform morphology characterization, and signal quality improvement.

The technical aide will assist with ECG waveform analysis in dogs and cats by managing large datasets from Holter monitors, implanted devices, and wireless biosensors; preprocessing signals through filtering, artifact removal, and resampling using tools such as MATLAB or Python; and performing waveform analysis including annotation of P, QRS, and T waves, arrhythmia identification, and quantification of intervals and heart rate variability (e.g., Poincaré plots). The role also involves supporting algorithm development to distinguish cardiac from non-cardiac noise in real-time signals, contributing to comparative modeling of species-specific ECG norms, and generating figures, summaries, and annotated tracings for manuscripts, presentations, and reports.

Must possess a BS in Computer Engineering.
