Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

The A-CAPP Center is seeking a professional for fractional work as a Stakeholder Engagement Lead – Summit & Certificate Programs on a temporary basis. 

Duration: Now through March 31, 2026 with potential for an extention.

Hours: The weekly hours would vary depending on program needs and would range from 15-40 hours with the average per week around 28 hours. Generally, the hours would be 28 with the exception of 2-4 week leading up to and during our Summit.

Location: Remote or Hybrid. Travel required for Summit (Dearborn, MI, March 17–19, 2026)

 

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role will lead engagement for the A-CAPP Center's two signature programs:

  • Annual Brand Protection Strategy Summit
  • Brand Protection Certificate Program

This role focuses on building relationships, driving sponsorships, and expanding program reach across industry, academia, and nonprofit sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Summit Engagement:

  • Connect with new and existing industry stakeholders to promote the Summit and secure sponsorships.
  • Engage with professionals from diverse sectors: global brands, e-commerce, social media platforms, investigative firms, law firms, and technology/service providers.
  • Attend and represent the A-CAPP Center at the Summit in Dearborn, MI (March 17–19, 2026).

Certificate Program Engagement:

  • Develop partnerships with MSU units, international academic institutions, nonprofits, and other organizations to integrate A-CAPP certificates into their programs.
  • Drive sales and revenue generation for certificate courses across all audiences.

General:

  • Contribute creative and strategic ideas for outreach and engagement.
  • Potential travel and speaking opportunities for program promotion.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Ability to work remotely or in a hybrid setting

  • Strong independent work ethic and team communication skills

  • Experience interacting and obtaining buy-in from different audiences (industry, academia, international)

  • Self-starter with innovative, strategic thinking

  • Have worked with Project Management Software, CRM Software and Comfortable with Using AI as a Tool

 

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in customer service or outreach

Preferred:

  • 5–10 years in stakeholder engagement across industry, academia, and government
