Position Summary

A postdoctoral research position is available in the Angelovici Lab in the Department of Plant Biology at Michigan State University. The lab studies the molecular and systems-level mechanisms that coordinate amino acid metabolism and seed proteome composition, with an emphasis on translational regulation and proteome rebalancing.

The postdoc will lead and contribute to interdisciplinary projects integrating genetics, multi-omics (metabolomics, proteomics, transcriptomics), quantitative genetics (GWAS/QTL), and molecular biology in maize and Arabidopsis. Current projects focus on seed storage protein remodeling, ribosome and translational control, amino acid biofortification, under genetic and environmental perturbations.

Required Degree

Doctorate -plant biology, genetics, biochemistry, systems biology, or a related field.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications: PhD in plant biology, genetics, biochemistry, systems biology, or a related field. Experience with omics analyses, seed biology, metabolism, or quantitative data analysis is highly desirable.
