Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

The MSU College of Human Medicine Social and Emotional Neurodevelopment Lab is seeking a motivated and dependable technical aide to join our pediatric neurodevelopment research team. This part‑time position involves assisting with the collection of neurodevelopmental data from pediatric participants , supporting ongoing scientific studies aimed at advancing our understanding of childhood development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting neurodevelopmental, behavioral, and cognitive data from pediatric participants
  • Help prepare testing materials and maintain research equipment
  • Support participant scheduling and study logistics
  • Follow established research protocols to ensure high‑quality data collection
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team in a professional and positive manner
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines for pediatric human subjects research

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong sense of responsibility and dependability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Eagerness to contribute to scientific research
  • Previous experience working with children or research settings is a plus, but not required
  • Training on study procedures will be provided
