Position Summary

The selected candidate will teach three classes per semester (six per academic year), at the undergraduate or graduate level, including two or more of following: construction methods and materials, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), building science, building information modeling (BIM), real estate development and finance, structural analysis and design, quantity take offs and cost estimating, scheduling, contracts & specifications, project management, sustainable built environment, construction safety, soils and site survey, infrastructure construction. In addition to teaching, the selected candidate will be expected to provide service to the CM program and the school, which will include supporting student activities, maintain relationship with industry, attending faculty meetings and serving on appropriate committees.

Masters -Construction Management or related field

Minimum Requirements

Minimum qualifications for this position include: 1) A Masters degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering and Management, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a closely related field; 2) Strong communication skills; 3) two years of construction management experience. 

Desired Qualifications

Three or more years of U.S. Construction Management experience; relevant professional licensing or certifications; and demonstrated ability to deliver applied, hands-on instruction; 2 years of post-secondary college level teaching experience.

Program Statement 
The Construction Management program has a nationally recognized program that awards an ACCE accredited baccalaureate degree as well as masters and Ph.D. Degrees in Construction Management. The program currently has 10 full-time faculty members, an undergraduate student advisor, and approximately 350 undergraduate students and 25 graduate students. This position provides exceptional opportunities for individuals who wish to be associated with a well-established program with strong university, industry and alumni support, and with rapidly developing research and outreach opportunities. The School of Planning, Design, and Construction unites four academic programs related to the built environment: Construction Management, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and Urban and Regional Planning, with 48 faculty and academic specialists, and 7 staff members. The School offers 9 degree pathways from Bachelors to Ph.D. – including 5 professionally accredited degrees with over 600 undergraduate and 75 graduate students. The School is administered by the Colleges of Agriculture & Natural Resources.
