Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

The Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University seeks a dynamic Program Coordinator to support the operational, student engagement, corporate, and alumni functions of MBA program, including a semi-fixed presence at the Executive MBA (EMBA) based at the Management Education Center in Troy, Michigan. This role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality academic and co-curricular experiences for students, administrative management of important academic resources, while also supporting faculty and other administrative processes as needed.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Student Experience, MBA Programs, the Program Coordinator is responsible for instructional support, student affairs programming, administrative operations, and cross-campus coordination with the MBA programs team in East Lansing.

· Knowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in business, higher education, communications, or a related field.

· One to three years of related and progressively more responsible experience in program coordination, student services, alumni or corporate engagement, or event planning.

· Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with university systems and instructional technologies.

· Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a high-functioning team.

 

Desired Qualifications

· Experience in higher education or a professional school setting, particularly in student services, academic programs, or event coordination.

· Project management experience, in particular involving teammates in multiple, separate locations

· Experience with educational technology platforms, with knowledge of available AI tools.

· Experience supporting hybrid or online education delivery.

· Demonstrated ability to support stakeholder engagement, including alumni and corporate partners.

Work Hours

Summary of Physical Demands

Ability to lift and transport materials (up to 25 lbs) and set up instructional spaces and classroom technology.
