Position Summary
The Department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics (AFRE) seeks qualified candidates to work on multiple aspects of its research and activities under the Food Security Group (FSG). Appointments may support a range of funded projects and initiatives administered by AFRE/FSG.

Required Degree
Doctorate -PhD in Agricultural Economics or closely related field
Minimum Requirements
- PhD in Agricultural Economics or closely related field
- At least 5 years of experience conducting collaborative research with policy research centers in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, or Latin America
Demonstrated track record of peer review and other publishing with local collaborators
- Past experiences working with AFRE and FSG, either as a direct MSU employee or in close and extended collaboration with MSU/AFRE/FSG faculty
Desired Qualifications
- Direct work experience with at least three North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, or Latin America research institutions that have recently partnered with MSU/AFRE/FSG in its work.
- At least 10 years of experience conducting collaborative research with policy research centers in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, or Latin America
Access to external funding to support appointment activities.
