Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a project pay position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions.

Unit Position Summary

A-CAPP seeks an experienced detail-oriented Production Editor to provide immediate editorial and publication support for its new website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and formatting integrity.

As an interdisciplinary academic center operating at the intersection of law, business, technology, and government, A-CAPP produces public-facing work for audiences across industry, academia, policy, and government. The Production Editor will provide critical short-term support to help ensure timely, polished, and publication-ready deliverables.

This roles is an on-call project-based position providing time-sensitive editorial support for the last phase of the Center's website project to be completed within 20 calendar days. 

Project Details:

The A-CAPP Center is in the last phase of launching a new website. The last phase will consist of the following tasks: 

  • Conduct side-by-side review of approved source text against published website content
  • Identify missed edits, inconsistencies, omissions, and formatting discrepancies introduced during web production
  • Prepare clear correction notes for implementation by external web vendors or internal staff
  • Support quality assurance for web content prior to final publication or launch

Compensation for this project will be $250.00 and paid out at after all tasks are completed. 

Desired Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BA degree in a relevant area

  • Professional copyediting, proofreading, or production editing experience

  • Exceptional attention to detail and consistency

  • Strong command of grammar, usage, punctuation, and editorial conventions

  • Experience reviewing and reconciling content across multiple formats (Word, web, PDF, Canva)

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently under tight timelines

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience supporting academic, policy, or research publications

  • Experience reviewing website content for accuracy and consistency
  • Experience supporting interdisciplinary or professional-facing content
