Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

The Application Screener supports the College of Human Medicine's admissions process by conducting holistic reviews of medical school applications during the peak admissions cycle (July-December). This role is responsible for evaluating applicant materials in accordance with established criteria, documenting assessments, and contributing to a fair, consistent, and mission-aligned selection process. The position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage a high volume of work within defined timelines.

Desired Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with higher education or medical school admissions processes.
- Demonstrated ability to apply evaluation criteria consistently and objectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
