Position Summary
Position Summary
Office supervisor will lead a team of three health care representatives who will be supporting the front desk functions of the Counseling and Psychological Services unit. This team will assist students with scheduling and checking in for their counseling appointments in the electronic health record. This position directly supervises including hiring, orientation, time tracking, training and performance management. Position will function as a working supervisor able to perform the duties of subordinates for coverage during lunch/breaks, vacations, and other absences.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical, vocational or business school with coursework in office management and business; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in office management, budget preparation, financial and administrative record-keeping and secretarial skills; experience in word processing, spreadsheet, database, desktop publishing, and/or web page design or presentation software; or in performing responsibilities related to the operational activities of the employing unit; requires one to three years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Business.
- Three or more years of experience in a health care, counseling, or mental health services setting providing administrative support to upper management and direct supervision of staff including work in a unionized setting.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records and patient scheduling software.
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
