Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

The Li Lab at the Institute for Quantitative Health Science and Engineering at Michigan State University is seeking an Electrical and Computer Engineering student to assist with bioelectronics research. Our lab develops advanced wearable and implantable electronic systems for health monitoring, neural interfacing, and biomedical applications.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

Design and test electronic circuits and printed circuit boards for bioelectronic devices
Develop embedded systems for sensor control, data acquisition, and wireless communication
Integrate electronic hardware with wearable or implantable biosensors
Conduct device characterization, troubleshoot technical problems, and analyze experimental data
Collaborate with researchers in biomedical engineering, materials science, and neuroscience
Document research progress and present results at laboratory meetings

Experience with circuit design, PCB layout, microcontrollers, programming, or signal processing is preferred. Students interested in applying should submit a résumé and a brief description of their relevant experience and research interests.
