This position will be a member of the College’s Shared Services Center, within the Pre-Award Team. This position, reporting to the Director of the Center, will be primarily responsible for administrative and budget support on grant proposal submissions. The position will work with faculty to create, collect, review, upload, and transmit documents necessary for routing proposal requests for new research funding. This includes working with various departments across campus, departments at collaborating universities outside of UMBC, external contractors, and program sponsors at federal, state and private agencies. |

The main purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive administrative and program management support to the Graduate School, focusing particularly on the Graduate Student Development and Postdoctoral Affairs Unit which oversees numerous projects (including grant-funded projects) within UMBC and across the USM. The role involves project management responsibilities such as coordinating schedules, scheduling meetings, coordinating events, providing travel assistance, and managing logistics for in-person events, while also supporting senior leadership by interfacing with their senior-level colleagues (including Deans and Vice Presidents) and their constituents, organizing meetings, gathering and summarizing information, and assisting with data analysis. |
