Position Summary

The College at Brockport is seeking applicants for anticipated part-time adjunct faculty openings in the department of Criminal Justice

Position Description

The department typically hires adjunct faculty to teach classroom-based, hybrid, and on-line courses for the subject areas/courses listed below, but this list is not all inclusive. Other courses/subject areas may become available within the department.

Illustrative needs or job duties include but are not limited to:

  •  Teach, lecture, face to face, undergraduate students in core or elective subject matter
  •  Assess student performance with tests, writing assignments, etc.
  •  Advise students in career questions; direct students to department for academic, financial, etc., questions

 

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field from an accredited US Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university or an appropriate level of experience commensurate with the adjunct lecturer responsibilities. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Criminal Justice or a related field from an accredited US Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • Significant teaching experience.
