Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for an Internship Coordinator. The person in this role will play an important role in running many aspects of the SUNY Washington Internship Program. Key aspects of the role involve recruiting students into the program, communicating with them throughout the search process, tracking enrollment via the application portal, and then aiding them in the internship search process. Once students are enrolled in the program in DC, the coordinator will maintain strong communication with the students to ensure successful and satisfying internship experiences. The coordinator will also serve an important role in strengthening the program by building and nurturing relationships with key staff and faculty on Brockport campus and other partner campuses, as well as among host or potential host organizations in Washington DC. Other duties include maintaining an active social media presence to build awareness of the program, assisting with securing speakers for the program’s seminar series in DC, engaging with program alumni, and assisting with other administrative tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization by the time of appointment.
• Effective, dynamic interpersonal skills to engage and work with faculty, staff, students, and host organizations.
• Must be detail oriented, possess strong organizational, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Evidence of strong communication skills and present to groups.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
• Must have a valid NYS driver's license.
• Sufficient technological skill to effectively manage application management systems, website, and standard office software systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience providing student internship advisement and/or career services office work.
• Previous internship experience.
• Previous experience and knowledge of Washington, DC, and the surrounding area.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm
Salary and Benefits: The Minimum Salary for this position is $53,151.
