Job Summary: |
Cleaners perform routine manual labor requiring medium to heavy physical effort, with basic knowledge of various cleaning products and equipment; and the ability to climb scaffolding. The cleaner positions may be available for various shifts and may be full or part-time. Duties include:
- Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, using auto scrubbers, shampooers and burnishers).
- Snow Shoveling around sidewalks and stairs surrounding campus building.
- Will perform medium to heavy physical labor, lifting 30lbs.
- Work independently as well as in a group setting.
- Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
- Safe use and application of cleaning chemicals.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
- Overtime may be required as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: |
Labor Class: There are no education or experience requirements for this class. Cleaners must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
