The Department of Psychology at Grand Valley State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to begin in August 6, 2021. As a community of educators, scholars, and practitioners the Department of Psychology values the examination of the world through diverse cultural perspectives which inform pedagogy and scholarship, and engagement in our local community. We seek faculty who are committed to excellence in classroom teaching and scholarly engagement of students in collaborative projects. For this position, applicants must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Faculty area of emphasis may be diverse within the field of ABA, although research and applied experience working with children and adolescents in school or mental health settings is desirable given that the ABA program is closely connected with the School Psychology graduate program.
Assistant Professor of Special Education - Teaching and Learning Grand Rapids
Grand Valley State University seeks an Assistant Professor in Special Education. Applicants must have a Doctorate in Special Education or a closely related field by August 2021; ABD applicants will be considered if the doctorate is to be completed by August 2022. Additionally, applicants must have: demonstrated ability to teach courses related to students with an autism spectrum disorder, emotional disturbance, intellectual disability, and/or learning disability; a record of successful teaching or school-based experience at the PK-12 level with students with disabilities; demonstrated potential for teaching at the university level; and a record of scholarship or potential for scholarship.

Assistant/Associate Professor - Psych Mental Health (Kirkhof College of Nursing) Grand Rapids
Psych/Mental Health Tenure-track faculty position available. Experience teaching in higher education also desirable. Must have earned doctorate in nursing or related discipline; if the earned doctorate is not in nursing, the master’s degree must be in nursing. If the doctorate was earned via a BSN to doctorate, the doctorate must be in nursing (DNP or PhD), and the requirement for a master’s degree is waived.
