The Department of English at Western Washington University invites applications for a full-time, three-year Visiting Assistant Professorship in Early Modern Literature to begin September 16, 2025. This three-year position carries a 2-2-2 teaching load, including courses in English literature, literary theory, and writing about literature. The successful candidate should be prepared to teach at all levels of the curriculum. All full-time appointments include full benefits. The Grants and Contracts Fiscal Specialist 2 is a key member of the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects team providing post-award fiscal guidance, assistance, and administrative support for an assigned group of principal investigators (PIs) in Environmental Science, Anthropology, and Sociology. It also serves a centralized compliance function specific to Effort Certification on federal awards across campus. There is an emphasis on providing payroll/personnel support, purchasing/contract administration, basic fiscal reporting, and monitoring for compliance with applicable federal, state, and institutional policies and procedures. Successful candidates will have a background in fiscal processes, demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in the role, and have excellent communication skills. The position will work closely with WWU’s Fiscal Analyst 3, Grant Accountant, and Departmental and College Administration to ensure excellent customer service to PIs. The position is open to Washington State residents and offers the opportunity for remote/hybrid work from the Bellingham campus.

The Dahlberg lab is hiring a research technician to help with lab maintenance along with experimental design and procedures. The lab community is made up primarily of undergraduate researchers who collaborate to study mechanisms of protein homeostasis in the model organism, C. elegans. The Dahlberg lab uses genetic, molecular, microscopy, and biochemical tools to answer questions about how cells respond to stress. This position is advertised at 30 hours per week for one year; there is the possibility of increased and/or extended hours or term.
