The assistant resident director (ARD) is a full-time hourly (40 hours per week)/overtime eligible, 12-month appointment, live-in position within University Residences reporting to a supervising resident director (SRD). The ARD supports the supervising resident director in the management of a residential community of 550 - 700 students in the tasks of: developing diverse and inclusive communities; enhancing student learning; developing consciousness regarding principles of equity, respect, and individual and collective responsibility; providing conduct adjudication and hall council advisement; and supervising and training paraprofessional staff. Over the summer, ARDs work with summer athletic camps through University Residences Conferences and Guest Housing operations.

The Geology Department at Western Washington University (WWU) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Hydrogeology to begin Sept 16, 2026. We seek individuals who are enthusiastic about teaching and who will establish a productive research program that involves undergraduate and Masters-level students. The ideal candidate will support our department’s ability to produce workforce-ready geoscientists. Broad areas of research interest may include, but are not limited to, groundwater-surface water interactions, environmental hydrogeology, and groundwater systems (e.g. geothermal, fault zone, coastal, mountain).
