  • Permanent full-time - 35 hours per week
  • Office location - Manly Hydraulics Laboratory (Manly Vale) - Hybrid working supported
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $168,551 to $170,433 + super

 

The Water Group is seeking to appoint the Manager Environmental Data to lead Manly Hydraulics Laboratory’s hydrometric, water information and meter testing service teams to deliver professional specialist services to clients.

The role currently leads three teams in the provision of specialist technical services and innovative solutions to meet client needs, whilst achieving utilisation rates, target sales and profitability targets. Both technical and people skills are required.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead dynamic and highly competent teams in a growing and nationally significant market to deliver high quality, cost effective and innovative professional services.

About You 

You will have significant knowledge and demonstrated experience in the hydrometric and environmental data industry that is recognised by client organisations.

Demonstrated business management skills and experience will help you lead the service lines and business portfolio areas in a commercial environment.

You will have demonstrated leadership and successful business development experience in a professional services organisation. Working collaboratively with team members and colleagues across DCCEEW, government and the water industry to develop and sustain excellent relationships is essential in this role.

The successful applicant will be able to help maintain and raise the profile of the Department by:

  • Effectively cross marketing the activities of the Group state-wide and nationally;
  • Broadening the client base to ensure financial viability; and
  • Maintaining and developing key linkages with other areas of the Department, Government and the water industry.

You will be able to demonstrate competency in working safely in and around water, including having the ability to swim.   

Essential Requirements

  • Appropriate Tertiary Qualification in a relevant discipline at Degree level.
  • A valid NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel, including overnight stay.
