Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor who is keen to connect visitors and guests to an incredible natural setting through their culinary experience.

 

  • Temporary full-time role up to 12 months
  • Located at Jenolan Caves, 3 hours from Sydney and 25 minutes from Oberon
  • Front Desk Supervisor (JC029) – Trades Officer – FT (38hr/Wk) Base Salary of $73,484. Annualised with +25% loading. (42 Weekends, 10 Public Holidays)

About the role

 

As the Front Desk Supervisor, you will be responsible for undertaking and supervising the activities of the Front Desk to support the operational requirements of the hotel and ensure high quality customer services for guests and visitors to ensure they have a welcoming, culturally enriched and memorable experience.

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  •  Be able to oversee all front desk activities including but not limited to, efficient daily operations, rostering, overseeing staff inhouse training, communicating to other hotel departments and Visitor Experience team. A proactive problem-solver, and someone who thrives in a remote or rural hospitality location.
  • Creating a holistic guest experience at Jenolan Caves by staying up to date with all of Jenolan Caves offerings and experiences and working seamlessly with all departments to provide the very best in customer service.
  • Overseeing the night audit to ensure errors are accounted for and activities are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service to support visitor satisfaction and engagement with the hotel.

 

Essential requirements

 

  •  Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • More than 3 years demonstrated experience in the hotel industry, preferably with experience in a hotel front desk.
  • Experience in a reservations booking system, preferably Respax (Cobber) and or CMS.
  • Exceptional communication skills, time management skills and attention to detail.
  • A current First Aid certificate or the ability to obtain one within the first 3 months of role commencing.
  • Must be available to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including most weekends and public holidays.
  • Must be able to participate in the Fire Warden roles daily. (Training will be provided)
