Job Responsibilities:
Locally hired in one of our South East Asia Branches.
- Experienced in credit approval, familiar with regional conglomerates and industry-leading large local corporates
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, industry trends and credit facility structure for large corporate clients and prepare due diligence reports to support credit decision making
- Work closely with relationship managers, product teams, and other internal units to structure credit facilities and align on credit risk strategies.
- Familiar with local and group level regulatory requirements and compliance checking requirements, consistently adheres to internal policy requirements
- Support drafting or review of credit risk management policy and by-industry credit guidelines
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to promptly identify and resolve risk and control issues.
- Assist with regulatory examinations and auditing tasks related to credit risk.
- On-the-job training will be offered to successful candidates to take a short-term assignment at Bank of China (Hong Kong), and returning to the original hiring country after the secondment.
Job Requirements:
- University degree or higher holder with major in risk management, economics, finance, accounting, or related fields.
- 5 years or above relevant work experience in credit risk assessment.
- Managerial experience is preferred.
- Professional qualifications in Financial Analysis / Risk Management are preferred.
- Solid understanding of macroeconomics, loan markets, public debt instruments, and industry developments affecting large corporate clients.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and local languages in Thailand or Malaysia to convey complex economic and financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with market information tools such as Bloomberg and LSEG Workspace is also preferred.
- Willing to work under pressure with strong self-initiative.
