Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the housekeeping supervisors and room attendants   
  • Motivate, train, and supervise all Housekeeping colleagues
  • Execute projects such as preventive maintenance, inventories, and productivity studies
  • Review regularly Standard Operating Procedures, and Processes in order to guarantee effective and efficient service as per Mandarin Oriental Standards
  • Conduct daily meetings with Supervisors and Housekeeping colleagues
  • Conduct appraisal and performance reviews on a regular basis
  • Identify colleagues for further development or training needs
  • Execute quarterly, half-yearly, yearly cleaning schedules for all hotel areas
  • Coordinate with Front Office and Engineering about daily challenges

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment
  • A minimum of 1 year of housekeeping experience on a supervisory/managerial level
  • Proficient in handling machinery and chemical
  • Pre-opening experience is beneficial
  • Previous experience working in the Middle East Region is beneficial
  • Good knowledge on computer systems such as Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory
