Reporting to the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO), the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is a member of the Information Technology Services (ITS) leadership team and is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing Swarthmore College's comprehensive information security program. The CISO plays a critical role in protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of College information assets across all technology platforms, including cloud and SaaS environments, in alignment with the College’s academic mission and culture.
The CISO provides strategic leadership and direction in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating information security risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and fostering a security-aware culture across the College community. This position exercises considerable influence over IT projects and supervises information security staff, providing expert services and support to the entire community. |
Administrative Coordinator II

The Administrative Coordinator II (AC) in the Advancement Office provides senior-level support to the Vice President for Advancement (VP), serving as the primary administrative point of contact for the VP. That includes but is not limited to handling sensitive and confidential information in a discreet and professional manner; tracking and, at times, responding to correspondence on behalf of the VP; tracking and prioritizing tasks and projects based on the Office and College’s needs and strategic goals; tightly managing the VP’s calendar, ensuring it is accurate, up-to-date, and conflict free; scheduling travel and managinh trip logistics; preparing background material for meetings; and other related responsibilities. The AC will be a trusted partner and be able to anticipate the needs of the VP in proactive oversight of calendar, tasks, meetings, and travel in coordination with senior partners in Advancement.
The individual in this role must be highly attentive to detail and able to work on and keep on schedule multiple, complex projects with various deadlines; a skilled communicator with strong interpersonal communications skills; and a willing collaborator who works easily with others. The AC will interact regularly with other senior AC’s across campus and must establish and maintain regular communications with these colleagues.
The AC is also a primary conduit between the VP and the President’s office and schedules external meetings with alumni, parents, and friends in concert with that office/team. The AC makes travel arrangements and prepares itineraries for trips by the VP and President, files subsequent expense reports, and enters contact reports or follow-up in the Slate/CRM database. Collaborates with the Associate Director for Leadership Engagement to assist in preparing for pre-trip briefings of the President and VP prior to travel and meetings. |
Environmental Technician, Part-Time Limited Hours (Third Shift)

Under limited supervision, the Environmental Technician maintains the cleanliness levels in campus facilities. We are currently hiring for pooled/part-time roles, scheduled to work on the third shift 10 pm to 2 am Friday/Saturday, Saturday/Sunday and Sunday/Monday and 10 pm to 2 am Monday/Tuesday, Tuesday/Wednesday and Wednesday/Thursday.
The pay for this position is $18.50 per hour, which represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. |
Environmental Technician, Part-Time Limited Hours (Weekends)

Under limited supervision, the Environmental Technician maintains the cleanliness levels in campus facilities. Performs general cleaning including but not limited to restrooms, common spaces, dorms and academic spaces. We are currently hiring for pooled/part-time roles, scheduled to work Saturdays and Sundays, 11:00 am - 7:30 pm.

Zero Waste Technician, Part-Time Limited Hours (Weekends)

This position is an essential component of the College’s Zero Waste Program. Moving away from the college's current fixed-cost waste contract is a key component to achieving cost savings through diversion and reduction of the waste. This position is vital to this objective as it is structured to support the expansion of waste collection services on campus to 7 days per week, as well as deliver compost to Kitchen Harvest at least 2 times each week. The role of this position is a significant step in the Zero Waste Plan because it enables Swarthmore to eventually remove all rear-load dumpsters from campus; resulting in a significant cost and carbon reduction. Flexibility is essential in this position to strengthen overall zero waste efforts as a campus community. We are currently hiring for pooled/part-time roles, scheduled to work Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
