| The MakerSpace acts as a campus wide testing ground for creative innovation, making and hacking of physical things, and a space for interdisciplinary interaction and learning. It serves as the primary studio space for all Sculpture and 3D Design courses taught inside the Art Department. Beyond these fixed course meeting times, the space opens up to serve a broader cross-section of the community of students, staff, and faculty interested in making.
The MakerSpace & Woodshop Technician plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, well-supported, and inclusive learning environment. This position expands staffing coverage in the MakerSpace, strengthens safety oversight, and provides essential training and technical support for both classes taught in the space and the wider MakerSpace community that serves students, faculty, and staff across campus. Hours are Monday through Friday, 12pm to 8pm during the academic year. Summer hours may shift to 9am to 5pm. Occasional weekend hours for events or workshops. |

Lab Aide I, II, III

| The Collins lab seeks to hire a highly motivated laboratory aide. Primary responsibilities for the lab aide will be to oversee maintenance, breeding, and organization of the animal colonies, to assist in the execution of chemical screens, and support other ongoing research in the lab. Animal maintenance includes preparing water, monitoring and maintaining the freshwater aquatic suite operation in collaboration with the departmental animal care staff, feeding and cleaning tanks and dishes, and generating gene knockdowns using RNA interference. This is a 9-months limited term position, with potential for renewal, pending external funding and job performance. |

Advancement Events Assistant

| The Advancement Events Assistant is a member of an Advancement Events team who engages alumni, parents, and friends with the College through events. This person assists with a wide range of advancement event activities in support of annual and strategic goals.
The Assistant will oversee the event registration process for alumni, family, and donor events; provide exceptional customer service to both external audiences and internal colleagues; coordinate faculty and student travel logistics; and other event responsibilities.
This role involves interaction with alumni, families, donors, College staff, and other constituents. The ideal candidate will have a background in customer service and/or administrative support and will have the ability to balance multiple projects and demands. |

Animal Care & Research Technician

| The Animal Care & Research Technician (ACRT) will be responsible for working with staff, faculty, and students to maintain the day-to-day operations of vertebrate and non-vertebrate labs in the Psychology and Biology Departments. The core responsibilities of the ACRT are focused on animal husbandry, including daily health and welfare checks, providing food, water, and enrichment, and changing animal cages. In addition, the ACRT will also assist with research activities as directed by the PIs, including curricular support for laboratory-based courses (e.g., research practica). While the primary supervisor of this position is the chair of the Psychology Department, the ACRT will take direction from the Animal Facility Specialists and faculty in Psychology and Biology.
The position will require flexible time management and acquisition of new competencies as the animal facility and research projects change over time. The ACRT is expected to learn how to perform all duties listed below and to use this knowledge to help train students as needed. This is a part-time, 17.5 hour per week position that will be required to work some weekend days and some holidays, including winter break, as part of their regular schedule. This position may be ideal for a recent graduate in Psychology, Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field, or someone interested in a career in biomedical research, veterinary medicine, animal husbandry, and/or laboratory management. |

| As a member of the Dining Services department, the Culinary Associate will work in any of the following stations depending on the schedule or need of the department roles: Cook, Pizza Cook, Commissary or Baker. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, having a passion for food, enjoying being part of an energetic team and the opportunity to make a difference in the student’s dining experience on Swarthmore’s campus.
Ensuring the timely meal production for a college dining program under the direction of the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef. Preps ingredients and cooks or bakes menu items according to standard recipes. Ensures that food production meets the departmental standards of quality, taste, creativity, presentation, and variety. Responsibilities include assisting with execution of menu items, food safety and the proper sanitation of all kitchen equipment. This is a part-time position, working 15 hours per week during the academic year (August-May). |
