Administrative Coordinator Swarthmore
The Interdisciplinary Programs Office seeks a creative, flexible, and organized team player to provide administrative support for the faculty coordinators and continuing faculty of (currently) ten interdisciplinary academic programs. The programs in Asian American Studies, Asian Studies, Cognitive Science, Comparative Literature, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Global Studies, Interpretation Theory, Latin American and Latino Studies, Medieval Studies, and Black Studies offer classes, majors and minors, information, and programming in subject areas outside and across the traditional departments. The programs range in size and support needs. The Administrative Coordinator will have responsibility for organizing and publicizing public programs, including lectures, special events, and receptions (design, publicity, reservations, hospitality), guest travel reimbursement, processing honoraria requests) and for the programs’ budgets (transfers, accounting, reports). This is an 11 month position scheduled to work between mid-July and mid-June each academic year.
Zero Waste Program Technician Swarthmore
This position is an essential component of the College’s Zero Waste Program. Moving away from the college's current fixed-cost waste contract is a key component to achieving cost savings through the diversion and reduction of waste. The role of this position is a significant step in the Zero Waste Plan because it enables Swarthmore to eventually remove all rear-load dumpsters from campus; resulting in a significant cost and carbon reduction. The Zero Waste Program Technician supports the expansion of waste collection services on campus 7 days per week, as well as delivers compost to Kitchen Harvest at least 2 times each week. Flexibility is essential in this position to strengthen overall zero-waste efforts as a campus community. This position is part-time, benefits-eligible, working 24 hours per week.
Assistant Director, Prospect Research Swarthmore
The Assistant Director, Prospect Research discovers, analyzes, synthesizes, summarizes, and distributes information in order to increase the identification, engagement, and solicitation of prospects by Advancement staff and College leadership. Through this work, they act as a key partner in the strategic planning and efficient operation of fundraising programs at Swarthmore College.
Gifts & Records Specialist Swarthmore
Work in close collaboration with the Senior Gifts and Records Information Specialist to accept, process, record, maintain donor data, and back up documentation for all gifts and pledges in accordance with Swarthmore policies. In a timely manner, they ensure accuracy of transactions and production of gift receipts following IRS regulations. The Specialist is also responsible for updates to constituents’ biographical records. This is a part-time 20 hour per week position. This is an on-campus position.
Senior Gift & Information Specialist Swarthmore
The Senior Gifts and Records Information Specialist works in close collaboration with college- wide administration to accept, process, record, maintain donor data, and back up documentation for all gifts and pledges in accordance with Swarthmore policies. In a timely manner, they ensure accuracy of transactions and production of gift receipts following IRS regulations. The Specialist is also responsible for updates to constituents’ biographical records. In addition, the Senior Gift Information Specialist will assist in supervising the part-time Gift Information Specialist.
