Graduate Teaching Assistant - Biology Department (Fall 2025) Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus)
A Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) under the supervision of the faculty and/or staff, may include assisting faculty with various lab related tasks, performing classroom instruction, as well as other academic support duties, and departmental operational needs, and other associated and clerical duties as assigned. Teaching schedule will vary dependent upon lab schedule, lab prep, in class lab time, and post lab work. Positions will be filled based on individual applicant’s skills, qualification, and departmental needs. The Department of Theatre and Film in Jacksonville State University’s College of Arts & Humanities is seeking to hire a scholar for an assistant professor. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory to advanced film courses, such as Introduction to Film, Editing, Post-production in Film, and Film Technology Foundations. The David L. Walters Department of Music at Jacksonville State University (Jax State) invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Percussion for the Fall 2025 semester. Primary duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate applied percussion, percussion studio, percussion ensemble, and class percussion. Other responsibilities include recruiting and maintaining a quality percussion studio. The department offers undergraduate programs of study in Music Education, Music Performance, and General Music.
