The Department of Kinesiology of Jacksonville State University’s College of Health Professions and Wellness is seeking to hire a scholar for an Assistant Professor, Sport Management/Recreation. The faculty member for Kinesiology is responsible for instructional work to facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able and responsible members of society. This position exists to provide educational services to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening. Assistant Professor may be required to teach courses within his/her concentration area on campus, off-campus, online courses and possible videoconferencing depending on need of location.
Assistant Professor, English (19th Century British Literature) Jacksonville (Main Campus)
We invite applications for an Assistant Professor of English in 19th Century British Literature, a full-time, tenure-track position to begin August 2022. This faculty member will be responsible for teaching British literature from the long 19th century, speech, composition, and literature, according to department practice and policy; conducting scholarly/creative research sufficient for tenure and advancement; and engaging in appropriate service. A Ph.D. in English with a specialization in 19th Century British Literature by the appointment date is required. The Department of Mathematical, Computing, and Information Sciences of Jacksonville State University’s College of Science and Mathematics invites applications for a tenure track position for Assistant Professor of Computer Science. JSU’s program is ABET accredited. The successful candidate is responsible for instructional work to facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that contribute to the development of mature, able, and responsible members of society. The Graduate Admissions Specialist is responsible for the processing of graduate applications for graduate and doctoral programs, verification of students’ academic history, program entry dates, and ensuring accurate recording of student information in the Banner System. This position serves as the initial point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and other constituencies; responds to routine inquiries; and disseminates information about the services offered by Graduate Studies. The Graduate Admissions Specialist attends graduate student recruiting fairs, tabling opportunities, and other recruiting/public relations events as needed, representing JSU Graduate Studies.
Administrative Assistant, Emergency Preparedness Anniston (McClellan Center)
The Administrative Assistant performs clerical and secretarial work, processes and maintains relatively complex office records, reports, and materials of greater difficulty and with more independence, but within guidelines established by precedents and departmental policies. This position has routine, personal contact with customers and the general public, providing standard information and occasionally explaining methods, procedures, services and activities of unit.
Staff Accountant, Advancement Services Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Staff Accountant maintains and controls the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records. The staff accountant will gain understanding of Scholarship Budgets for the University and departments, understand specific business units, prepares analysis, and provides financial support to Schools and Departments throughout the University.

Director, Technology Support Jacksonville (Main Campus)
The Director of the Technology Support Center provides vision and strategic direction, in conjunction with the Vice President for Information Technology, for the oversight, delivery, support, and training of University-wide technology to faculty, staff, and students.  Works collaboratively with colleges and departments to ensure depth, value, reach, and access is provided to the University’s technical expertise and resources.   Proactively offers technology services to enable the University community to more effectively manage their personal computing environment (including managed desktop and laptop security, productivity and collaboration software, etc.); and performs management functions, including budgeting, procurement, personnel evaluations, development of policies, and other administrative tasks as needed.
