Computer Systems Administrator UMass Amherst
The Computer Systems Administrator (CSA), an independent and contributing member of the Chemistry and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology IT teams, will implement and support policy decisions, and represent CNS and both departments in appropriate meetings/projects. The CSA, with a strong ability to prioritize and make decisions for computing facilities of two departments, is responsible for support of research, teaching and administrative network-attached workstations, stand-alone computers, peripherals, hardware, software and all network connections.
Academic Advisor/Senior Academic Advisor (Hybrid Opportunity) UMass Amherst
Multiple positions open. Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Dean of Academic Advising and Student Success, the Academic Advisor (entry level)/Senior Academic Advisor(comprehensive) position provides advising to students in the College of Engineering’s (COE) various majors, double majors, dual degrees, minors, exploratory tracks and graduate programs. The position works closely with other advising personnel to ensure high quality advising and academic services for all students, with particular emphasis on programmatic needs for first-year, transfer, and at-risk students and uses computer-based registration and academic records technology, such as Spire and Navigate. The position is responsive to the widely varied needs of diverse student populations and works in a high volume and fast-paced work environment.
4-H Extension Educator II - Mt. Ida (Hybrid Opportunity) Mt. Ida - Newton, UMass Amherst
The 4-H Extension Educator for the Norfolk and Suffolk Counties, located at the Mount Ida Campus, will provide programmatic leadership and management for the Massachusetts 4-H Youth Development Programs. Develop and implement educational programs and resources for youth ages 5-18 while providing support and oversight for collaborating adult volunteers and partner organizations.
Makerspace Supervisor (Temporary Non-Benefitted Position) UMass Amherst
This role supports the UMass Makerspace during makerspace open hours in the afternoons and evenings. The person in this position, working alongside the rest of the makerspace team, takes on a mix of technical, and managerial responsibilities to support the makerspace community and ensure the makerspace runs smoothly and safely. This role works alongside other members of the makerspace team including staff, students, and volunteers and interfaces with visitors to and members of the makerspace.
Research Fellow UMass Amherst
The research fellow will engage in research activities related to NIEHS-funded projects focused on reducing dietary exposure to environmental pollutants (PFAS and micro- and nanoplastics) and mitigating their toxicity using sorbent materials.
