Associate/Full Professor - Biomedical/Chemical Engineering UMass Amherst
The Departments of Chemical Engineering (ChE) and Biomedical Engineering (BME) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor rank. The position will be a 50:50 joint appointment between ChE and BME. Individuals with research interests broadly across the entire intersection of ChE and BME will be considered. These areas include, but are not limited to biomaterials, pharmaceutical development, drug delivery, oncology, biosensors, and biotechnology. Applicants working in areas with a strong clinical and translational focus are strongly encouraged to apply. The candidate is expected to teach existing graduate and undergraduate courses in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering and will be encouraged to develop creative new curricula in areas of their interest or across disciplines. The projected start date for these roles is September 1, 2025.
Assistant Professor (Race, Class, and Politics in Public Education) UMass Boston
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) in the University of Massachusetts Boston’s College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) seeks applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor in the Curriculum and Instruction department. to begin on September 1, 2025. Of particular interest are candidates with scholarly expertise in race, class, and politics in public education. Specifically, we seek collaborative and equity-minded candidates whose research contributes to our understanding of how race, class and politics impact curriculum and the educational outcomes of urban children from pre-k to 12. This includes expertise on how teachers learn about and navigate these issues in the urban classroom for students at all educational levels. Scholars with expertise in community engaged scholarship that leads to the creation of community focused curricula for understanding antiracist practices in PK-12 schools are preferred.

Postdoctoral Research Associate - Mathematical Sciences UMass Lowell

Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training UMass Boston
The Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training within University Health Services will provide high-quality, time-effective, evidence-based and culturally responsive clinical services, including: triage; emergency and crisis intervention services; referrals and evaluations; as well as individual and group counseling and psychotherapy. The incumbent will also provide consultation to faculty and staff and provide outreach to the campus community. The incumbent will manage a caseload so as to serve the maximum number of students who are appropriate for services at the University Health Services Counseling Center; and will consult with and/or make timely and appropriate mental health referrals for students as needed. In addition, the Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training will provide leadership for the University Health Services Counseling Center Clinical Practicum and Advanced Clinical Practicum, serving as the liaison between the Counseling Center and the graduate programs in which the trainees are enrolled. The incumbent will guide the process of planning and producing the yearly practicum orientation, assuming primary responsibility for ensuring that trainees and practicum supervisors understand and act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Counseling Center; will oversee all data collection pertaining to the evaluation of the practicum; and will be responsible for overseeing the application process for the Advanced Clinical Practicum.
Community Service Officer UMass Boston
A Community Service Officer (CSO) is an unarmed, uniformed security position, and is a non-sworn (civilian) member of the UMass Boston Police Department (UMBPD). With a strong emphasis on community engagement, CSO’s are responsible for performing a variety of duties to assist the (UMBPD) with its campus safety and community policing efforts. CSO’s assist UMBPD to make connections between students, faculty, staff, and other members of the community. The incumbent of this position enforces university policy, by-laws, the student code of conduct, and performs other non-criminal police related duties such as: community engagement and outreach; patrolling the campus on foot and/or be assigned to a designated post; provides direction, general information, and resources to the public, issuing parking tickets; performing walking escorts; respond to non-criminal complaints, building checks and other duties assigned. CSO’s are essential employees that do not carry firearms and have no powers of arrest.
Communication Dispatcher II UMass Boston
The Dispatcher II position is an entry level, uniformed non-sworn, support position for the University Police Department. Under general supervision of the Dispatch Supervisor or the shift commander, the Dispatcher II will perform a variety of specialized support duties the Police Communication Center. Support duties may include: Operating a centralized computer aided dispatch system (CAD) to dispatch non-emergency and 911 calls for service to the campus community. This includes receiving, prioritizing, and transmitting first notification of calls for service for police, fire, and medical assistance from the campus community. The Dispatcher II will operate a fixed radio system, transmitting messages to multiple and portable units under strict rules and regulations. The Dispatcher II communicates via state and national criminal databases and is responsible for effective and accurate communications between campus law enforcement, the public, and external law enforcement agencies. Extensively documents actions and outcomes from all police, fire, and medical incidents occurring on campus into the CAD system; and perform related work as required. Regular use of judgement and discretion is necessary to set priorities, assess the importance of information and react quickly and effectively.
