HVAC & Refrigeration Mechanic I UMass Amherst
Installs, maintains, operates, repairs and/or initiates repairs on building systems such as pneumatic/electric, electronic, electro-mechanical controls, refrigeration, air conditioning, equipment and related heating and ventilation (HVAC) systems, and their related controllers and controlled devices. Employing the use and need of specialized testing and monitoring, diagnostic equipment; works synchronously with Control Technicians / trade personnel maintaining the building systems integrity, exercises functional supervision of other employees performing related repair and maintenance activities.
Communication Dispatcher II UMass Lowell
The Communications Dispatcher II performs a variety of duties involving transmitting messages from the radio communications base station. S/he monitors various radio frequencies and operates radio transmitting and receiving equipment. S/he will maintain records and logs of department daily activities, search files to obtain information, utilize information equipment in order to facilitate law enforcement and community care taking goals and missions. All finalists will be required to present the following documents: Birth Certificate, High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate and Driver's License. Technical Specialist I (Dig Safe) UMass Amherst
The Utilities Mechanical Technical Specialist I (Dig Safe) receives and processes all requests for any excavation throughout the campus grounds. Serves as a primary contact for the University with Dig Safe headquarters, submits mapping of excavation (s), receives, records and communicates Dig Safe confirmation numbers to various groups throughout the campus, Dig Safe Headquarters, and to contractor(s). Maintains Dig Safe files and reports for the campus. Investigates and reports violations of Massachusetts Statute Chapter 82, Section 40 to appropriate authorities for action. Under general supervision, the Technical Specialist I performs skilled technical and mechanical duties to support operation, maintenance, and repair of campus Utility and Mechanical systems.
