The Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences (the Manning College) at the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMass Boston) seeks applications for a full-time tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in the Department of Gerontology to begin on September 1, 2025. The Department seeks to increase the number of tenure-track faculty conducting research on aging among historically underrepresented and marginalized groups.
Director of Social Media UMass Lowell
Reporting to the Executive Director of Enrollment Marketing, the Director of Social Media serves as the voice of the university on social media platforms. This role focuses on developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy, creating engaging content, advancing UMass Lowell’s brand on social, and fostering interaction and community engagement with the intention to create social communities that will attract and welcome prospective students, as well as engage employees, alumni, opinion leaders and the public. The Director will ensure the university's presence is strong across all social media channels and will coordinate with various campus departments to maintain consistency in messaging and branding. The Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD) in Lisbon, Portugal, and the Saab Center for Portuguese Studies at the University of Massachusetts Lowell College of Fine Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences announce the FLAD/Saab Visiting Professorship in Portuguese Studies for Spring Semester 2026. This program is a three-year collaboration that sponsors a one-semester a year, open-rank, Visiting Professor of Portuguese Studies at UMass Lowell. The program is open to Portuguese Academics presently teaching at a university in Portugal.

The Nuclear Engineering Program in the Department of Chemical Engineering invites applications for a Visiting Professor to teach courses in Nuclear Science and Engineering. The position is for 1 year (renewable). The appointment is scheduled to begin Fall Semester 2025.
Postdoctoral Research Associate - Chemical Engineering (multiple positions) UMass Lowell
The successful applicant will conduct computational research in nuclear materials and advanced energy materials. The candidate will develop, train and test machine learning algorithms for performing materials simulations using methods such as dense neural networks, gaussian processes, and graph convolutional networks. Materials of interest include molten salts, which are used as a heat transfer fluid in advanced fission and fusion reactors, and doped ceramic materials for high-temperature electric-thermal energy storage. The candidate will help immediate supervisor in writing scholarly articles and proposals. Salary will be competitive and based on experience of the candidate. The initial appointment will be for 1 year with a possibility of renewal based on the productivity and performance and the availability of funding.
